In April there is only one place for west coast teams to play! 2024 the EIE Spring Invitational will be held in Roseville at the Roebbelen Center. 12 Courts under one roof! The event is currently sold out. To reserve a spot on the wait list please email (chris@chrishansenbasketball.com) the team name, age level (ex. 17U, 16U), and competitive range (D1 – Highest level of competition, D2 – no Division I players but looking for competitive games).

Note: Balances must be paid prior to January 1st to have the Early Bird discount apply. All remaining balances for teams holding with the non-refundable deposit is March 19. Please see the refund, registration and schedule request policies below.

HOTELS

All teams must book hotels within the Placer Valley Region. You can book through our link or directly with hotels. No AirBNB, VRBO, or other house rentals. Teams must stay in the Placer Valley hotels (List of hotels LINK). You can also use the county’s booking site above for your convenience.

CONFIRMED TEAMS – If you are listed on the team list below and need to pay the balance of your team fees, please contact Chris Hansen for the registration code. Please only pay for teams that are confirmed. There are no refunds and paying for not confirmed teams will not get those teams into the event.

Teams should be available Friday for a 12PM game. Teams not available Friday will not have a 4 game guarantee and may not be eligible for the top championship brackets.

EVENT HAS SOLD OUT SINCE 2016 . There is no better place to play in the west than EIE Spring Invitational!

Year after year the EIE Spring Invitational was the best evaluation tournament of the spring on the west coast!

We ask all teams to carefully track the NCAA BBCS site for updates on eligibility requirements as we have to prepare as if the recruiting calendar will be active even if it isn’t likely.

As usual we’ll have a full high school bracket U17, U16, U15 and U14. Highly competitive U13 teams are welcome to compete in our U14 bracket. The tournament will span 3 days, beginning Friday afternoon. To play in a championship bracket you must be available Friday afternoon for your first game.

The tournament will have multiple McDonald’s All American Selection Committee members in attendance as well as regional and national scouting services in the building.

NCAA PROCEDURES All club teams taking part in the ELITEisEARNED Spring Invitational MUST register their coaches and players with the NCAA through the USA Basketball coaches licensing process (USA LICENSE link) and opt-in to the event from the updated Basketball Certification process (NCAA-BBCS Login link).

RETURNING COACHES SHOULD RENEW THEIR USA GOLD LICENSE NOT APPLY FOR A NEW ONE

RENEWALS: If you obtained a gold license during the 2018 season you simply need to RENEW your license by taking the refresher course and updating your background check. When logging into your USAB account choose renew. If you request a new license your approval number will change and it could take longer for the NCAA BBCS to clear you to be an eligible coach. USAB Gold License Pricing

Pricing varies by date. Get started with the link above. You cannot complete your team roster without an approved coach.

DO NOT RE-APPLY or START OVER. If you have applied with USAB in the past, do not create a new account, log in to that account and renew the license. Starting over when you already have a USAB account will prevent the account from being automatically validated and WILL delay the process.

If you failed to renew your USAB number and instead started a completely new application, you will be issued a new USAB number and require you to contact the ECAG at 844/562-6201 option 2, or use the Email Contact Form to activate your BBCS account.

NCAA BBCS Registration
Teams that are younger than the NCAA PSA age cutoff must still be in compliance with NCAA/BBCS certification. You must register your teams, coaches and players the same as the older teams. You need to complete the Gold License and NCAA BBCS Coach Registration!

REFUND POLICY: Team registration fees are non-refundable, this includes any deposits. Balances not paid by the noted deadlines will result in both the forfeiture of your deposit and your spot in the tournament. Deposits are due upon initial registration. To obtain early bird discounts the balance for each team must be paid prior to the Early bird date (January 1, 2024). Teams are still able to complete registration after the Early Bird cutoff but will be subject to the full price for each team.

WAIT LIST TEAMS: Once the event is at capacity we will open our wait list. Teams are expected to complete their full NCAA ECAG at the time they sign up for the Wait List. Payments for wait list teams are refundable (minus any processing fees) up until a team has a confirmed spot. Once a spot in the tournament is found the registration fees are subject the standard refund policy.

SCHEDULING REQUESTS: Due to the limitations on game times and games per day during NCAA Certified viewing events, schedule requests are not guaranteed. It is mandatory to have enough coaches certified in the BBCS with USA Gold Licenses for each team in your program participating. Teams who cannot complete their games as scheduled are subject to forfeiture of remaining games. The tournament begins on Friday. Teams that are not available at the start of the tournament may not be placed in the requested division of play. Please limit schedule requests to the absolute minimum. Last year there were more than 270 requests for 196 teams which makes scheduling for the event, opponents and college coaches a nightmare.

GAME GUARANTEES: To be eligible for the full 4-game schedule, teams must be available to play at 12PM on Friday, April 19. The price of participation/registration in the tournament is the not impacted by a team not playing on Friday. Teams unavailable at the start of the tournament are opting out of their games voluntarily. Please communicate with your players and their families early. We only have 4 evaluation periods for non-scholastic basketball in 2024 and we want teams to get the most out of the first eval period.
