Three-time Check Me Out Showcase player Aquira DeCosta of Sacramento, California, was selected to the Naismith Trophy All American first team today. She is also one of five finalists for the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year award. The 6-1 Baylor signee is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the 2018 class by ProspectsNation.com
DeCosta was a key piece for the Cal Stars EYBL, one of the top club teams in the country. She played at the Elite is Earned Spring Invitational in 2016 and 2017 as well as the 2018 EIE New Year’s Showcase.
Jenna Brown, the Stanford signee from Marietta, Georgia, was also selected to the first team and is a finalist for the Player of the Year Award. The Lovett School senior shined this July with her Central Florida Elite EYBL team at the EIE Summer Finale.
